Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for a Site Manager for the Industrial Division and our Tank Coating operations in Småland and surrounding areas/southern Sweden/Jönköping region. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.
Your mission as a site manager
As a site manager, you will drive daily production with full responsibility for leading and planning your work team. The focus of the work is on planning and executing assigned tasks as well as establishing and developing customer contacts. As a site manager, you report to and support the Site Manager with monitoring efficiency and finances, ensuring that the management system and other regulations in the area are applied. In the role of site manager, you are allowed to grow with responsibility.
We mainly perform coating work in Småland, Västra Götaland, and Östergötland. Part of the work is performed during inconvenient hours, and overnight stays away from home occur frequently during the season. This role means that you will typically be out in the field a couple of days a week, following your work team.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with an interest and previous experience in the coating industry and at least a high school education. It is an advantage if you have previously worked as a site manager.
To succeed in this role, you need to be responsible, positive, and meticulous. A structured approach and good organization are prerequisites for managing the various aspects of the site manager role. You take initiative and solve problems and enjoy having contact with customers and suppliers. As a person, you easily see opportunities and solutions and often have ideas on how work can be done better, safer, and more efficiently. As a site manager, you provide clear guidelines, motivate others, empower them, and offer opportunities for development. As a leader, it is important to create team spirit, show respect for others' opinions, and uphold ethics and values. Safety is a high priority for us, and it is essential that you have a high awareness of risk.
You have at least a B driver's license (CE driver's license is an advantage) and good computer skills, as administration occurs periodically. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Part of something bigger
Svevia's industrial division is in an expansive phase, and ambitions are high. The goal is to be a leading player in the coating industry in Sweden.
Behind every road lies more than the obvious surface: a whole industry of knowledge and delivery capability. Our offering is an industrial process. From stone to finished road.
Everything starts with a quarry, which then becomes ballast, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road. With over 100 own quarries, in-house production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastics, we have a breadth that no one else has. In our laboratories, we conduct material analyses and ensure that products meet standards and requirements. And our skilled teams in milling, asphalting, tank coating, and road marking ensure that the delivery is complete.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to influence and make your voice heard.
We have career paths for those who want to become managers and leaders or want to develop in their existing professional roles. It is as a team that we create success. That is how we do business and generate results. That is how we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
Application and information
